Weekending With Nceku, Siza Mdlongwa and Thembi at The Good Place





I had the blessedness of connecting with some great souls yesterday evening. With Thembi we discussed the troubling issues that are being faced by women. I wasn't aware of the fact that the issue of legal age of marriage is still an issue in this country. More importantly we talked about how the boy child is gradually becoming one marginalised element of the society too. Thembi is a high spirited, open-minded but fierce and determined woman. She is an activist at a national-level NGO moved to transform the affairs of the girl child in the modern Africa. 



With Nceku we shared  the delicacy and uniqueness of the cuisine that is being offered by The Good Place. He was cheery and hopeful of the general livelihood of Bulawayans and gave people a tease of his unique service to the world. 

Well, small crowd with big-guns. It's December after all, so we had the privillege of enjoying the exquisite sounds of Siza Mdlongwa. The guy is uniquely talented, driven with a humble and relatable flair that inspire me. He blends that with what I have seen in multi-millionaires - so he has a millionaire work ethic. 



We met at The Good Place's official launch yesterday, Friday 11 December. It's a new restaurant in the Business District of the City of Kings and Queens. You get the rare opportunity of touring the beautiful aspects of the city of Bulawayo, passing through The Standard Hotel and all, to the destiny restaurant along Connaught Avenue. We had a great 3 course meal there - great standard.
